Who we are

Forschungszentrum Jülich aims to attract outstanding scientists, talented young professionals, and highly qualified employees for the areas supporting research, namely administration and infrastructure. With more than 7,000 employees, Jülich is one of the largest interdisciplinary research centres in Europe and a member of the Helmholtz Association. As an open, responsible campus with vision, Jülich is an excellent place for inspiring exchanges with people from all over the world.

Gabriela Figueroa Miranda is enthusiastic about biosensors: “I am really in love with biosensors”, says the scientist from Mexico with a laugh. She develops malaria rapid diagnostic tests and as a young entrepreneur, she now wants to transfer her research to applications.

Full of energy: Martin Winter

Batteries provide us and the world around us with power – they start our cars, make our clocks and watches tick, and ensure that we can take photos anywhere we want with our smartphones. The energy storage devices have also played a central role in Prof. Martin Winter’s life for almost 30 years. (in German)
